Rockstar Games just gave us another look yet at Grand Theft Auto 6, revealing the official cover artwork for what is easily the most anticipated video game in history.
Alongside a brief 30-second teaser dropped on YouTube this morning, the studio confirmed that preorders for the blockbuster title will begin on June 25. GTA 6 is officially scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for the Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X/S. Digital store pages are already active, so console owners can currently add the game to their wish lists on both the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store to receive a notification the second preorders go live next week.
To be clear, today’s drop is a quick teaser focused entirely on the artwork, not the next full gameplay trailer we’ve all been waiting for. However, with preorders opening June 25th, there’s a high probability that Rockstar is saving the gameplay reveal for that exact day.
And for anyone worried about potential launch hiccups, Rockstar’s parent company seems pretty confident in this timeline. Just days ago, following a Q3 2026 earnings call, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick reiterated that GTA 5’s successor remains firmly on track and won’t face further delays.

In any case, June 25 will also answer a question that has kept the gaming community guessing for over a year: How much is GTA 6 going to cost? The game could reportedly command a baseline price tag closer to $100 (around ₱6,074), which is significantly more than the standard $70 (₱4,252) for AAA titles — or $80 (₱4,859) for their premium or deluxe editions.
Of course, a higher price tag shouldn’t be a shock when you consider GTA 6’s scale. That premium pricing wouldn’t be surprising given the astronomical scale of production. Analyst estimates put the game’s budget anywhere between $1 billion (₱61 billion) and $1.5 billion (₱91 billion), with some reports suggesting total costs could eclipse $2 billion (₱121 billion) once you factor in extended marketing campaigns and post-launch support.
Can’t wait for Grand Theft Auto 6!
PC players will have to wait
Rockstar has a long-standing history of prioritizing consoles before porting their titles to PC later down the road. We saw this exact pattern with Red Dead Redemption 2, and famously with Grand Theft Auto 5, which took roughly 19 months to jump from its initial September 2013 console launch to its eventual PC debut in April 2015.
Based on those historical timelines, PC players might need to wait one to two years before getting their hands on this next chapter.
