Infinix‘s latest gaming smartphone is officially launching soon in the Philippines. And this time, the brand isn’t just iterating; it’s innovating.

Meet the Infinix GT 50 Pro. Unlike its predecessors, this model introduces a groundbreaking feature designed to tackle thermal throttling during those grueling, hours-long sessions: a built-in HydroFlow Liquid Cooling system.

Make no mistake, this proprietary technology is a first in the segment. It goes far beyond the traditional passive thermal management implemented in most modern devices, even ultra-premium flagships. Not even ASUS’ beloved ROG Phone lineup offered true liquid cooling before the Taiwanese brand stepped away from dedicated gaming handsets altogether.

As the official gaming phone of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH), the GT 50 Pro aims to push mobile boundaries once again, reinforcing its status as a pro-player-preferred unit and cementing Infinix’s trajectory toward becoming the go-to option for esports athletes and serious mobile gamers.

We have the 256GB Silver Glacier variant on hand — and boy, does it look stunning. Between the transparent back window, Kevlar-inspired accents, and aggressively styled chassis, the aesthetic screams high performance. The blue coolant flowing seamlessly against the silver body is a particularly striking touch.

Other options include Black Abyss with green coolant and Red Blaze with red coolant. Giving each colorway its own distinctly colored fluid is a nice touch that adds a welcome layer of personalization. Both storage configurations — 256GB and 512GB — come equipped with 12GB of physical RAM.

Infinix’s ‘coolest’ phone yet

At the heart of the GT 50 Pro is Infinix’s HydroFlow system, powered by a “dual-piezoelectric ceramic micro-pump” delivering a 6.5ml/min flow rate through precision laser-engraved channels. Complementing the liquid loop is a 3D vapor chamber with an impressive 7,700mm² area — a 29.9% improvement over last year’s model and the largest in GT history. There is also a substantial heatsink featuring a 6,437mm² diaphragm footprint that covers 100% of the critical hotspots, promising maximum thermal efficiency.

All told, Infinix claims the GT 50 Pro achieves an industry-leading 32,700mm² of overall cooling coverage, representing a staggering 63.5% generational increase. According to the company, the end result is a strictly uniform temperature throughout the smartphone, continuously pulling heat from the hardest-working chips and routing it safely away. It operates exactly like a custom loop in a high-end desktop rig, where the fluid absorbs CPU heat and redistributes it away from core hardware. Toggling Liquid Cooling in the settings immediately activates the pump, letting you watch the coolant flow through the transparent back in real time.

The other visual highlight is the new rear RGB lighting system with four crosshair-styled LED strips. It supports 14 unique scenarios and eight customizable colors for a wide variety of effects. Beyond pure aesthetics, there are practical functions baked into the hardware, too, including a convenient flip-to-light gesture and dedicated homescreen widgets. The LEDs even serve as notification indicators for low battery warnings or when the camera is actively recording. Watching the pulsing lights sync with the flowing liquid is undeniably cool.

Improved Pressure-Sense GT Trigger

Besides engineering new ways to chill the internal components, Infinix packed the GT 50 Pro with an industry-first open-cut Pressure-Sense GT Trigger. Thanks to this specific architectural choice, the sensing signal is reportedly stronger and more responsive, translating to highly accurate in-game controls.

Each shoulder button supports four intuitive inputs: light press, heavy press, left slide, and right slide. This means you can execute four distinct commands using just one finger. Factor in both sides of the frame, and you essentially have access to eight separate inputs using solely your two index fingers. Each trigger offers 10 adjustable sensitivity levels, boasts an ultra-low input latency under 20ms, and carries a durability rating exceeding 3 million presses.

Software integration is equally robust. The triggers feature dedicated presets for more than 10 popular mobile titles right out of the box, including MLBB and Call of Duty: Mobile. Beyond gaming, you can program them to handle system shortcuts — snapping photos, capturing video, screen recording, taking screenshots, or firing up Folax, Infinix’s proprietary digital assistant. For the hardcore crowd, these buttons can trigger complex macros, such as a quick Blink-and-Ultimate combo in Mobile Legends or intricate dodge-and-counter maneuvers in mechanically demanding action role-playing games like Wuthering Waves and Zenless Zone Zero.

Unlocking 144 FPS gaming

The last piece of the performance equation we want to highlight today is the Infinix GT 50 Pro’s capability to push up to 144 frames per second. This fluidity is made possible by a gorgeous 144Hz AMOLED display boasting a sharp 1.5K resolution and a high peak brightness of 4,500 nits, or 1,600 nits in High Brightness mode. Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, the panel uses an adaptive refresh rate that dynamically scales between 30Hz and 144Hz to preserve battery life.

Speaking of peak framerates, the Infinix GT 50 Pro holds official certification for native 144 FPS gameplay across six major competitive titles: Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Call of Duty: Mobile, Blood Strike, Standoff 2, Arena Breakout, and Free Fire. Simply put, the hardware has been extensively tested and proven to sustain that ultra-smooth threshold in those specific arenas. And we can attest to that claim to a certain extent; we haven’t ground through every single game on that list just yet.

But raw silicon power isn’t what makes this device special. What truly differentiates the GT 50 Pro from similarly priced competitors — or other sub-flagships sporting the same chip — is the painstaking effort Infinix invested into making it literally the “coolest” smartphone in its segment. The integration of that HydroFlow Liquid Cooling system, combined with such expansive thermal architecture, is ambitious.

So, how does the Infinix GT 50 Pro actually perform in grueling, real-world tests? Is the liquid cooling effective under pressure? Stick around for our full review and final verdict when the embargo lifts.

The first sale kicks off at 8 p.m. on June 10 via the brand’s official TikTok Shop. Enjoy exclusive launch discounts worth ₱2,000 ($32), limited-time deals, and special first-sale offers.
