HUAWEI is bringing its latest high-end tablet, the HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max, to the Philippines. Billed as a 4-in-1 workhorse for professionals and creatives, the device leans hard into the laptop replacement category, with the brand touting it as the thinnest and lightest 13-inch-plus PC-level productivity tablet available.

  • HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro (₱7,999 or $132)

  • One-year WPS AI Membership (₱7,000 or $115)
  • One-year extended warranty (₱2,699 or $44)

HUAWEI Philippines’ announcement

A huge screen in a ridiculously thin body

When we at REVU Philippines first saw the device in person in Bangkok, Thailand, the first thing that caught our eye was the display. The HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max rocks a 13.2-inch 3K flexible OLED screen that hits a peak brightness of 1,600 nits and supports a 144Hz refresh rate. Its PaperMatte Edition specifically uses a nano-level etching process that HUAWEI claims improves clarity by 20% while killing glare, making it vastly easier on the eyes during marathon editing sessions.

Despite all that screen real estate, the tablet remains absurdly portable. Built around a full-metal unibody and the brand’s Cloud Falcon Architecture, it measures just 4.7 millimeters thick and weighs 509 grams.

Pushing creative boundaries with a 50MP shooter

Tablets aren’t exactly known for their optical hardware, but the HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max makes a serious pitch to visual creators. It is equipped with a 50-megapixel True-to-Color rear camera that acts as a direct bridge to the tablet’s creative suite.

Instead of just taking quick reference shots, the 50-megapixel sensor integrates seamlessly with the GoPaint app’s Intelligent Color Card. This allows digital artists to sample real-world colors through the camera lens and instantly drop them onto a digital canvas. When paired with the new Fluid and Splatter brushes and the M-Pencil Pro, the system simulates realistic paint textures straight from environmental captures.

The upgraded Gallery app also taps into AI tools, letting users wipe out unwanted background obstructions with a single stroke or fix awkward facial expressions in group shots. For quick text and document work, the HUAWEI Notes app can solve complex math equations or instantly convert handwritten scribbles into polished copy.

If you are looking to ditch the traditional laptop entirely, the included HUAWEI Glide Keyboard features a magnetic flexible hinge and a hidden slot to store and charge the stylus. Built for heavy multitasking, the MatePad Pro Max can run three apps simultaneously and features an upgraded PC-Level WPS Office suite, complete with AI generation tools for crafting presentations and syncing team files.
