Dave the Diver has finally made the jump to smartphones. Originally launched on PC and consoles back in 2023, Mintrocket’s highly acclaimed indie hit is now available on Android and iOS.

It’s the latest in a growing trend of PC and console titles being ported over onto the small screen, joining other fantastic mobile releases like 2013’s Tomb Raider reboot and Red Dead Redemption.

On the Google Play Store, Dave the Diver costs $9.99 to unlock the full game — yours to keep with zero ads or microtransactions. For those who live in the Philippines, the base game retails for ₱599, but it’s discounted to ₱479.20 if you purchase it before Oct. 1. That’s an excellent deal considering the sheer volume of content available to explore, and it even comes with the Dredge DLC crossover free of charge.

The In the Jungle DLC is reasonably priced at $4.99 or ₱299. Unfortunately, the Godzilla and Like a Dragon collaboration DLCs included in the PC and console versions will not be released on mobile. We’ve played Dave the Diver on PC, and it’s a game you can easily sink a hundred hours into if you’re a completionist.

And if you missed the hype train, the premise is simple yet (admittedly) wildly addictive. By day, you play as Dave, exploring a mysterious underwater biome called the Blue Hole to catch fish and gather resources. By night, you manage a bustling sushi restaurant, serving up your daily catches to demanding customers.

We’ve been playing a bit of the Android version of Dave the Diver, and we think the controls and overall experience translate beautifully to smaller screens. The mobile port features adjustable touchscreen layouts and clever new gyro tilt controls for pouring beverages. The developers even threw in a fast-travel feature for quicker progression. Since this is a retro-inspired pixel game, you don’t need to worry about whether your device can run it well, either, although it should be pointed out for PC purists that the game can run at 60 frames per second for better visuals.
