After dropping a teaser last week that left us guessing if we were looking at the imminent launch of an HONOR 600S or perhaps an HONOR 600 Smart, the suspense is finally over. That stylistic choice did indeed point toward an “S” moniker, and the HONOR 600S 5G is officially making its Philippine debut on Oct. 1.
The arrival of this new model comes at a pivotal moment for the brand, which recently broke into the top five smartphone vendors in the Philippines for the second consecutive quarter, securing the fourth spot with a solid 10% market share.
We already have the 600S in the studio and have been putting its optics through the paces. Hardware-wise, the phone sports a 50-megapixel f/1.8 main shooter and a 5-megapixel f/2.2 selfie camera.

But the feature HONOR Philippines is clearly most proud of is AI Image to Video 2.0. Just like the HONOR 600 Pro and HONOR 600, this generative AI tool is a leap forward from what the HONOR 400 Pro and HONOR 400 brought to the table.
The biggest upgrade is the Freestyle option, allowing you to type custom, descriptive prompts exactly as you would in tools like ChatGPT or Gemini. You can dictate whether the output is 16:9 or 9:16 and whether the AI should generate accompanying sound. Because the heavy lifting happens in the cloud, you need an active internet connection to render these five-second clips, which typically takes about three minutes. Since the HONOR 600S 5G has already launched in markets like Hong Kong and Taiwan, the rest of its spec sheet is no secret. The midranger sports a 6.87-inch 120Hz display, relies on an 8,100mAh Silicon-Carbon battery that supports 45-watt fast charging, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chip.
