Fujifilm is giving photo lovers in the Philippines two new ways to bring their favorite moments out of the screen. The Instax Pal 2 is a pocket-sized digital camera designed for spontaneous snapshots, while the Instax Link Wide 2 turns photos from your phone into physical prints. Both devices are now available locally, with the Pal 2 priced at ₱10,599 (roughly $168) and the Link Wide 2 at ₱10,999 ($175).

The two products are available through authorized Fujifilm and Instax dealers nationwide, as well as official online platforms. They also make a natural pairing: one lets you capture photos without reaching for your smartphone, while the other gives your digital images a place in the real world.

The Instax Pal 2 is the more noticeable departure from its predecessor. Instead of the original model’s rounded, almost toy-like design, this one takes on a more traditional camera shape, complete with physical controls. It remains small enough to fit in your palm, but Fujifilm has made the shooting experience more familiar by adding an optical viewfinder and a 1.3-inch color LCD screen on top.

Inside, the Instax Pal 2 has a 1/3.06-inch CMOS sensor with a resolution of up to 10 megapixels, paired with a 28mm-equivalent f/2.2 lens and autofocus. Users can choose between 10-megapixel and 1-megapixel shooting modes, depending on the look they want. The camera also offers 30 effects across five themes, including Y2K, Vintage, Chromatic, Fantasy and Modern, with up to six favorites accessible through its physical dial.

One of its more playful additions is Instax Animation mode, which captures up to 10 consecutive frames and turns them into a flipbook-style animation. Photos can be shot with Instax Mini, Square, or Wide frames, or without a frame in a 4:3 format. The camera stores around 100 images internally and supports microSD cards with capacities of up to 2TB.

There is one important distinction, though: The Instax Pal 2 does not print photos by itself. Images can be transferred to a handset through the companion app, edited and shared, or sent to a compatible Instax printer. That is where the second new product comes in.

Newly launched Fujifilm products in the Philippines: the Instax Pal 2 and Instax Link Wide 2

The Instax Link Wide 2 is a smartphone printer designed for Fujifilm’s wider Instax film format. It connects to a device over Bluetooth and prints images on Instax Wide instant film, which has an image area of 62 × 99 millimeters. The larger format gives pictures more room for group shots, travel memories, collages, and other images that can feel cramped on smaller prints.

The printer also offers creative tools through its companion app, including collage layouts, templates, and QR-code printing. Depending on the selected mode, a print can link to a website, location, or recorded sound, adding a digital element to an otherwise physical keepsake. Its Photo Mixer feature likewise lets users combine images into more expressive, collage-style prints.

Together, the Instax Pal 2 and Link Wide 2 reflect an appeal that goes beyond camera specifications. Phones remain the most convenient way to take and share photos, but a dedicated camera can make capturing a moment feel more deliberate, while a printed image gives it a life beyond the camera roll. Fujifilm’s new pair offers both options, whether you want a tiny camera to bring along on everyday outings or a way to turn your existing smartphone photos into something you can hold, display, or give to someone.
