You may notice that the iPhone X is cheapest in the United States and most expensive in Hungary at about P75,000. But don’t take everything at face value, so to speak; the prices listed on Apple Stores may or may not include sales tax.

As Quartz pointed out, the one in Hungary already incorporates that — in places “where the sales tax is the same in all areas, Apple’s prices typically include tax in the total amount.” However, it’s a different case for the U.S., where tax varies by state. So that $999? It can go as high as $1,100 (P56,659). Still significantly less than the price of the iPhone X in Hungary. But $100 (P5,152) is still $100.

Apple’s 10th anniversary iPhone is the company’s first handset to be completely redesigned in three years. It has a nearly bezel-less 2,436 x 1,125 OLED display with a notch up top. It boasts glass-and-steel bodywork and features Face ID in place of Touch ID — enabled by Apple’s TrueDepth camera. And it has Apple’s True Tone technology, which automatically adjusts the screen to offer better colors and supports HDR for brighter and bolder picture.
