Updated MacBook Air, MacBook Pro: Prices in the Philippines

The cheapest MacBook Air — priced at $999 ($around P51,639) — and the smallest, 12-inch MacBook Pro are now gone from Apple’s website. However, two models have replaced them.

Updated 13-inch Apple MacBook Air

An updated Apple MacBook Air is now up on the site. True Tone is already added to the Retina display, which should make for a more comfortable viewing experience because the technology automatically adjusts the color temperature of the screen.

The new MacBook Air comes with a starting price of $1,099 (P56,511) in the United States. It’s now listed on Apple’s Philippine site, too, with the 128GB model selling for P64,990 ($1,264) and the 256GB version retailing at P76,990 ($1,497). And you can already buy any one of them.

Updated 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro

The Pro is getting more love. The entry-level 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro is now more powerful, courtesy of an 8th-generation Intel Core i5 processor. It now also boasts a Touch Bar and Touch ID, a True Tone Retina display, an Apple T2 Security Chip, and stereo speakers with wide stereo sound.

In the U.S., the new model starts at $1,299 (66,795). In the Philippines, the variant with 128GB of SSD storage is priced at P77,990 ($1,517) and the 256GB model, at P89,990 ($1,750). However, take note that they’re not available for purchase just yet.
