The OPPO Reno 5 series — stylized as Reno5 series — will officially launch in the Philippines February 10. So far, two variants of the latest Reno model are confirmed to debut at retail.

There’s the 4G version of the Reno 5 powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G, while the 5G edition upgrades to a Snapdragon 765G. OPPO Philippines recently sent us the latter in a big, colorful mystery box, plus a bunch of other stuff that relate to the Reno 5’s signature feature: its cameras. In addition to a 5G-capable Snapdragon processor, the Reno 5 5G is equipped with quad cameras and a 64-megapixel main sensor. Up front, you get a 32-megapixel camera for capturing highly detailed selfies and face unlock.

With the Reno 5, OPPO wants to push the boundaries of videography like never before; hence, the introduction of features like AI Highlight Video and Dual-view Video, which give users more flexibility when shooting video. Of course, we’ll take note of these additions and explore them further in our full review of the OPPO Reno 5 5G.
