Finally, we have a global launch date. Xiaomi has revealed that the Mi 11 will be announced for the international market February 8.

(Update, February 8: And it’s launched internationally! The global version of the Xiaomi Mi 11 ships with a 55-watt charger and comes in two variants.)

FYI, Xiaomi Philippines has started teasing the launch, too, so there’s no doubt the company’s flagship will become available in the country as well

The 5G smartphone debuted in China in December as the first handset to come with Qualcomm’s most premium chip, the Snapdragon 888, which is built on a 5nm process. As a flagship device, it is equipped with top-of-the-line specs, including a sizable quad-curved 2K screen, dual speakers with professional tuning from high-end audio brand Harman Kardon, and a battery with technology that pushes wired and wireless fast charging up to 55 and 50 watts, respectively.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro launching, too?

Word has it that a Pro variant will be globally launched alongside the regular Mi 11 on the same date, too. Remember that back in December, Xiaomi tweeted this, clearly showing that we are in for at least two phones from the Mi 11 series.

Could the rumor be true? Are we going to see the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro on the 8th? One of the most recent leaks says the device is packing a 5,000mAh battery with a dual-cell configuration and support for 120 watts of fast wired charging.

The Pro is said to feature a rear quad-camera setup with a Sony IMX766 main sensor and an ability to zoom in to a subject up to 120x; a 6.81-inch AMOLED screen with a Quad HD+ resolution and 120Hz and 480Hz refresh and touch-sampling rates; and Android 11 layered with most likely the MIUI 12.5 version.

February 8 is just around the corner, so waiting to see if the rumors are true or not shouldn’t be as, well, painful.
