Because more and more 5G sites have gone live in the Philippines, with even new telco player DITO Telecommunity offering only 4G and 5G services, it would be nice if Xiaomi brings the M3 Pro 5G here, too. If the listing we spotted a few days ago is any indication, then the smartphone is likely going to become be released in the country. Cross your fingers.

At the heart of the POCO M3 Pro 5G is a Dimensity 700, MediaTek’s first 5G chip for the masses that is fabbed on a 7nm process and has two Cortex-A76 CPU cores clocked at 2.2GHz, six Cortex-A55 cores, and Mali-G57 MC2 graphics — an indication that it’s decent for gaming.

More speed, more everything

To make the experience smoother when playing games, for one, even better, the 6.5-inch full-HD screen is given a high refresh rate of 90Hz. The display is also adaptive and not locked to 90Hz. You won’t worry about getting cut off in the middle of what you’re doing because of a big battery that’s rated at 5,000mAh and has support for 18-watt fast charging.

The POCO M3 Pro 5G is 8.92mm thin, weighs only 190g, and comes equipped with a 48-megapixel triple AI rear camera, a __-megapixel selfie shooter, a fingerprint sensor that doubles as a power key on the side, a maximum of 6GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which is expandable up to 1TB. It ships with Android 11 out of the box and is available in POCO Yellow, Cool Blue, and Powerful Black colors.
