We finally have a launch date for Lenovo‘s next gaming-focused Android mobile devices.

(Update, March 2: The Lenovo Legion Y90 has been launched with dual storage [UFS 3.1 + SSD RAID 0]!)

The company today announced on China’s Weibo that the Lenovo Legion Y90 phone and Lenovo Legion Y700 tablet will be unveiled February 28. Both have already been teased extensively, so we already how they look and what their main features are. And then there are the leaks.

The Lenovo Legion Y90 is confirmed to sport dual X-axis vibration motors and a symmetrical rear design. It comes with two rear-facing cameras located at the center of the backplate for better ergonomics. There’s an RGB-backlit Legion logo surrounded by two physical spinning fans, which have been integrated for better heat dissipation, just like 2021’s Legion Phone Duel 2. Expect shoulder-trigger attachments with mechanical keys for the Y90 as well.

The gaming phone has been tipped to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G chip, coupled with up to 18GB of extendable RAM and as much as 1TB of storage. It supposedly has 64-megapixel main and 16-megapixel ultra-wide rear shooters, a 44-megapixel selfie camera, a 5,600mAh battery that supports 68-watt fast charging, and a 6.92-inch E4 AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling.

The Lenovo Legion Y700, on the other hand, is seen sporting JBL-branded speakers and Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision features. The tablet is powered by a Snapdragon 870 SoC and is equipped with an 8.8-inch 2K screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, one rear camera, and a 6,550mAh battery with support for 45-watt quick charging. One full charge should let you use the Y700 for six hours of gaming.

It’s not clear yet if the Lenovo Legion Y90 and Legion Y700 will be released outside China, but there’s a good chance they will. At least the handset. After all, devices like the Legion Phone Duel 2 are officially available in countries like the Philippines.
