While the vivo X100 and vivo X100 Pro may be the first smartphones to debut MediaTek’s flagship mobile chipset, vivo‘s newly launched tablet is the first slate to use the said processor.

The vivo Pad3 Pro has just gone official in China alongside the X Fold3 Pro and X Fold3 foldables and TWS 4 earbuds. It relies on MediaTek’s answer to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. Recall that the chip is fabbed on a 4nm process and features an All Big Core design headlined by a high-performance Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.25GHz.

Front and center of the Pad3 Pro is a 13-inch LCD screen with a 3,096 x 2,064 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate housing an 8-megapixel camera. The display reaches 900 nits of peak brightness, covers the full P3 color gamut, and supports HDR10 for a stunning visual experience. At the back is a circular camera module that carries a 13-megapixel shooter for your imaging needs.

You’ll also find an eight-speaker panoramic acoustic system, a custom graphite heat sink and copper cooling matrix, an 11,500mAh battery with 66-watt fast charging, Android 14-based OriginOS 4 with BlueLM AI, and vivo Pencil2 stylus compatibility.

In China, the vivo Pad3 Pro is available in blue, purple, gray colors at the following prices:

  • 16GB + 512GB: ¥3,999 (around P31,160 or $554)
  • 12GB + 256GB: ¥3,599 (P28,043 or $499)
  • 8GB + 256GB: ¥3,299 (P25,706 or $457)
  • 8GB + 128GB: ¥2,999 (P23,368 or $415)

There’s no word on the tablet’s global availability, but we think there’s a higher chance of the Pad3 Pro arriving in the Philippines than the X Fold3 series ever coming here.
