Most midrange smartphones tend to look alike, but Infinix wants the Infinix HOT 70 to stand out. Officially launched in the Philippines, it’s a device that mixes daring textures with everyday endurance — all for under ₱10,000 (roughly $164).

Infinix is leaning hard into its Dynamic Shine Design across six different colorways, wrapped in a slim 7.49mm chassis that weighs just 195 grams. The clear visual centerpiece is the Thermo Orange edition with a heat-reactive finish that shifts from deep orange to pale peach when touched, letting you imprint patterns with your hands or objects. Other finishes like Quiet Violet and Green Texture use microstructures that create a 3D illusion as the smartphone tilts, accented by an iridescent ring around the camera.

The Infinix HOT 70’s key features

To drive its 6.78-inch 120Hz display, the Infinix HOT 70 packs a 6,000mAh battery. When it runs low, the bundled 45-watt fast charger tops it back up in about an hour. For gamers and binge-watchers, bypass charging sends power straight to the motherboard, keeping heat down and performance steady during plugged-in sessions.

Durability is part of the pitch, too. With an IP65 rating and SGS Gold Standard certification, the HOT 70 is built to survive 1.5-meter drops and multi-angle impacts. A Folax-Speaker Cleaner utility even uses sound vibrations to shake dust and moisture out of the speakers.

Day-to-day use gets a boost from a physical One-Tap AI button on the right frame. A quick press launches AI FlashMemo, which turns screenshots into actions — like converting a flight itinerary into a calendar invite or dropping an address into an email draft. Saved clippings live in AI MindHub, while holding the button summons Folax AI for instant access to tools like Google Gemini and ChatGPT without leaving your app.

The system runs on a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chip alongside a 50-megapixel primary camera backed by AI-assisted editing tools like object erasure and background extension. In a bid to win over long-term buyers, Infinix is promising up to three major Android OS upgrades and five years of security patches for models equipped with 6GB of RAM or higher. To sweeten the initial unboxing, the Transsion sub-brand is bundling every official store purchase with a free 12-month Viu Premium subscription and three months of Google AI Plus with 2TB cloud storage.
