This new budget contender picks up where last year’s HOT 60 Pro left off, which launched in the Philippines at just ₱6,999 (around $114).

Performance is where things get interesting. A fresh Geekbench listing (model X6896) points to a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset, paired with Mali-G610 dual-core graphics and 8GB RAM. Running Android 16, the phone scored 978 single-core and 2,843 multi-core, a clear leap over the MediaTek Helio G200 that powered the HOT 70 Pro’s 4G-only predecessor.

Design-wise, Infinix is aiming to stand out. Recent teasers show a Matrix Cube LED rear display, the same customizable secondary screen we tested on the Note 60 Pro back in April. Bringing that feature down to a cheaper model is a bold play, but exactly the kind of move that grabs attention in a crowded market.

The brand is also hyping up durability, touting the smartphone as drop-proof, waterproof, and dustproof — a triple layer of protection that makes “play without limits” more than just a tagline.

Adding to the flair, the Infinix HOT 70 Pro will ship in a splash of vibrant colors, including purple, orange, blue, green, and silver.

Of course, don’t expect the price to stay as low as last year’s. Between the jump to a 5G-capable Dimensity processor and rising memory/storage costs worldwide, a hike feels inevitable. We’ll know the damage soon enough — when the curtain lifts on the HOT 70 Pro’s launch day. Fingers crossed it’s still a steal.
