ColorOS 17 goes global: When your OPPO, OnePlus, or realme device gets the update

ColorOS 17 is stepping onto the international stage. OPPO has outlined the global rollout schedule for its Android 17-based operating system following its domestic debut in China.

After a recent corporate restructuring, this software rollout notably brings OnePlus and realme devices under a unified ColorOS banner worldwide, replacing OxygenOS and realme UI.

The news comes days after OPPO confirmed an Oct. 21 global launch for the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max. These two flagships have the distinction of being the first smartphones to ship with ColorOS 17 out of the box.

Now, if you don’t plan on upgrading to the OPPO Find X10 just yet, don’t worry. The wait won’t be too long. The rollout kicks off a week later, with high-end flagships across all three brands getting the update first before it reaches midrange and older devices over the coming months.

Here’s the complete international rollout schedule:

  • October. The rollout begins Oct. 29 with the OPPO Find N6 and the entire Find X9 family (standard X9, X9s, X9 Pro, and X9 Ultra), alongside the OnePlus 15, OnePlus Pad 4, and realme GT 8 Pro. The following day, Oct. 30, the rollout expands to include the OPPO Find N5, Find X8 Series, and Reno16 lineup. Meanwhile, OnePlus users will get ColorOS 17 on the 15R, 13, and 13s, while realme brings the update to the GT 7 Pro and 16 Pro models.
  • November. The rollout expands to older flagships and premium midrange devices. OPPO is upgrading the Find N3 line, along with a wide range of Reno15, Reno14, K14, K13x, and F33, F31, and F29 phones. OnePlus brings the Open, 12, 13R, Nord 6, Nord CE 6, and Pad 3 into the fold. realme follows suit with the GT 7, 16 5G and Lite, 15 Series, P4 lineup, and Narzo 90 family.
  • December. More mainstream devices get their turn. OPPO focuses on the Reno13 Series, K13 Turbo variants, and its Pad 5 and Pad 3 tablets. OnePlus targets the 12R (including the Genshin Impact Edition), 11, Nord 5, Nord CE 6 Lite, CE 5, and older tablet models. realme covers the GT 6 Series, 16T and 16x, 14 lineup, P3 family, and several Narzo devices, including the 100x and 80 Series.
  • First quarter of 2027. The current roadmap wraps up with older foldables and entry-level devices. This wave includes the OPPO Find N2 Flip, Reno12 Series, F Series Pro variants, and Pad SE tablets. OnePlus refreshes the Nord 4, N6 line, and Pad Lite, while realme focuses on the P4 Lite, P3 Lite, and Note 80 and 70 lineups.

We think this is an update worth waiting for. ColorOS 17 introduces a fresh Living Flow Design, featuring an improved floating island, along with on-device AI tools such as Mind Pilot and Call Guard that promise to be more useful than gimmicky.

Just a quick heads-up, though: OTA updates always roll out in batches. So, if your device is scheduled to receive the update in late October but your settings menu still says you’re up to date on Halloween, don’t panic just yet. Give it a little more time.
