Another look at the Cherry Mobile Flare S6 Deluxe

And while you might think this now-revealed device is simply another rectangular box with a bargain price tag, it’s actually the local tech company’s second whack at an 18:9 phone after the Cherry Mobile Flare S6 Plus.

Unlike the Flare S6 Plus, however, the Cherry Mobile Flare S6 Deluxe does not have a pair of cameras on either side. And the quad-core processor that keeps the assembly purring is less powerful than the MediaTek 6750T chip inside the S6 Plus. Likewise, the S6 Deluxe is limited to 2GB of RAM and doesn’t use a Type-C connector, sporting a microUSB port instead.

Unlike the Flare S6 Plus, the company’s first 18:9 phone, the Cherry Mobile Flare S6 Deluxe does not have four cameras.

The Cherry Mobile S6 Deluxe is much cheaper at P5,999 (around $120), though; the Plus is priced at P9,999 ($200). And none of us should be surprised that this is one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest, phone with an 18:9 display on the local market today.
