The OPPO F5 is one of our highly recommended smartphone options in 2017. And in celebration of the Chinese New Year, you can buy the best version of OPPO’s popular midrange phone at a discounted price in the Philippines for a limited time.

Until February 18, 2018, the OPPO F5 Red — the model with 6GB of RAM — will sell for P19,990 (around $383) from its regular price of P21,990 ($421). The offer is good at OPPO stores and participating retail partners nationwide.

Just to give you a refresher, the OPPO F5 is crafted out of an aluminum unibody and offers a taller, 6-inch display with a 2,160 x 1,080 resolution and an 18:9 screen ratio for a better viewing and multitasking experience.

Paired with an extra-generous 6GB of RAM, the MediaTek Helio P23 processor under the hood delivers satisfying power that is able to rival many of the OPPO F5’s pricier competitors. It’s an efficient chip, too, as we found in our testing.

The back-facing camera is 16 megapixels and has a wide aperture to make night shots look appealing. The 20-megapixel camera on the front is among the sharpest in the business, and comes with an AI Beauty mode featuring 200 facial enhancements to make selfies appear more flattering and natural.

One report from last month says that, in terms of market share, OPPO came in second last year in China, the world’s biggest smartphone market. Globally, it is one of top vendors for handsets.
