The BTS endorsed-LG G7 ThinQ, which is slated to go on pre-order in the Philippines from May 30, will officially launch in the country on June 11.

As we had reported before, the pre-order period for LG’s latest high-end phone will run until June 10, with the initial claim date set on June 4 or 5. The pre-order mechanics confused us as well. What’s not confusing is that the G7 ThinQ will apparently hit stores well before its announcement, which is curious to say the least. In any case, it’s great news for those looking forward to owning the notch Android flagship.

As for the retail price, LG has set it at P42,990 (about $818) on the Philippine market, which is P5,000 ($95) more than what the G6 sold for when it debuted here. Yet it’s still more affordable than the Samsung Galaxy S9+ and Huawei P20 Pro; the said phones are currently priced at P55,990 ($1,065) and P44,990 ($856), respectively. For those having a tough time deciding between the three, this comparison might help.

The reviews for the LG G7 ThinQ are in, and they’ve had plenty of positive things to say, from praises directed at the extra-bright display and wide-angle camera to what LG calls the Boombox speaker. The mono speaker reverberates sound through the entire device, offering louder volume and enhanced bass.

We’ll bring you all the details on June 11 as we’ll have boots on the ground at the launch event. Check back with us in a couple of weeks.
