The Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro turned heads when they were launched in the Philippines in November 2017, with their HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor (same chip on the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro), Leica dual cameras, and 4,000mAh battery. And why not? The value they give are on a par with the competition’s. But the price tags? They were way lower.

The Mate 10 retailed at P32,990 (roughly $629), while its Pro version cost P38,990 ($744). The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Apple iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone 8, on the other hand, did not debut below P44,990 ($858).
