Just as it’s about to roll out its Find X flagship phone to different markets, including the Philippines, OPPO has released a device meant for the budget segment.

Today, the OPPO A3s goes on sale in India for only ₹10,990, or about P8,589 or $160. For that price, you already get a big, 4,230mAh battery and a 6.2-inch screen with a 19.9 aspect ratio (albeit with a cutout, for those of you who don’t like the notch). You also have a choice of two color variants — red and dark purple (our favorite!).

The posted teaser before the OPPO A3s was launched
The OPPO A3s is fitted with two rear cameras; the main sensor is 13 megapixels and the secondary one, 2 megapixels. An 8-megapixel front camera takes care of your selfies.
Running the show is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable memory. It ships with Android 8.1 Oreo with the company’s own ColorOS 5.1 user interface on top.

Notice that the A3s is actually a downgraded version of the OPPO A5, which was announced in China a little more than a week ago. The two smartphones’ difference specs-wise? Their memory configurations. The latter boasts 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Available in blue and pink, it’s now selling in China for ¥1,500 (P12,044 or $226).
We don’t know if OPPO Philippines will offer the A3s model here to bring the current number of A series budget phones on sale locally to three. In case you didn’t know, only the OPPO A83 and A71 are part of the list.
