Nope, your eyes are not deceiving you. What we accidentally stumbled upon really says P2,995 (roughly $57). Until August 30, you have a chance to buy the Huawei Y6 2018 — originally priced at P5,990 ($113) — for 50 percent off.

A screenshot of Globe’s announcement saying that you can get the Huawei Y6 for 50 percent off, too (and not just 25 percent off). This is just an update, so you know we weren’t kidding when we said we had spotted this

There are two caveats, though. Globe Telecom is the one holding the promo, so expect the smartphone to be locked to Globe and TM. Plus, it’s an online-exclusive offer; you have to purchase the Huawei Y6 2018 from the carrier’s online shop.

It’s an amazing offer, really. Besides the device, you’ll also get a free Globe prepaid SIM card with 300MB of data and 300MB of video content valid for 15 days upon SIM activation. And for a minimum of P150 ($3) top-up per month, you’ll have free 300MB of data valid for 15 days, too.

So how can you take advantage of the offer? Simple. Just follow these steps:

  • Look out for the promo code that will be announced during the Facebook Live show on Globe’s official account at 8 p.m. on August 15.
  • Go to Globe’s online store, and search for Huawei Y6 2018 – Device Only.
  • Add the phone to your cart.
  • Enter the for-single-purchase-only promo code.
  • Proceed to check out, and enter your personal details.
  • Select your preferred payment method. It can be cash on delivery, credit card, debit card, GCash Mastercard, or GCash.
  • Wait for the order confirmation in your email account.

You can still get the Huawei Y6 2018 at a lower price — at 25 percent off — even without the promo code. You only need to pay P4,490 ($85). Still a good deal, isn’t it?
