The OPPO R17 has been the subject of rumors for weeks. The design and specs and features of the upcoming premium phone have all been spoiled for us. And now, we finally know how much it will officially cost, and when it’s expected to arrive in stores — at least in its native China.

The OPPO R17 has been priced at ¥3,499 at online retailer JD.com, which translates to around P27,158 or $509. It’s the company’s second-priciest device next to the Find X, which sets you back P49,990 ($937) in the Philippines. It will be available for purchase at Chinese retail from August 30.

For the money, one can expect a phone that can hold its ground against other premium offerings on the market, both visually and internally. The R17 is arguably one of the best-looking phones OPPO has ever produced, sporting a gradient back and an almost-bezel-less notched front that is more than 90 percent screen in relation to the rest of the body.

The display, of the OLED variety, measures 6.4 inches diagonally, just like on the OPPO F9. The small notch, present for the 25-megapixel selfie camera, is identical to the F9’s as well. In a first for the company, the R17 will have an in-screen fingerprint scanner, which is currently limited to a couple of Vivo handsets and the Huawei Mate RS.
