Yup, the Razer Game Store is already up on Lazada Malaysia and Lazada Philippines, bringing its presence to a total of four Southeast Asian countries. It used to be accessible only to those who are based in Singapore and Thailand.

Does this mean that the Razer Phone 2 will be available in Malaysia and the Philippines as well? We have reached out to Razer and received this reply: “We have no news to share about the availability of our phone in the Philippines at this point. Will be in touch if that changes.” So don’t hold your breath for its gaming handset just yet.

The Razer Game Store’s launch is just in time for the 11.11 shopping festival. Look out for exclusive discounts of up to 90 percent off game titles such as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Cities: Skyline, Far Cry 5, and Cuphead. It will also have regular promotions that will leverage Lazada’s shopping mechanics, such as Mega Flash Sales, Surprise Boxes, and Slash It gamification experiences.

Razer Game Store on Lazada: Malaysia and Philippines

Razer said that its online shop will provide fans with the ease of buying digital games in their local currency and through local payment methods that they’re already familiar with.

Cases in point: Those who are in Malaysia may pay their purchases at a 7-Eleven store or get them on installment via plans serviced by Maybank. Gamers in the Philippines, on the other hand, can use Globe Telecom’s GCash mobile wallet or opt for credit-card installments serviced by BDO Unibank.

This development comes at a time when there’s a continued uptick of video game sales via download rather than on a retail disc. In fact, the Entertainment Software Association said that 74 percent of all the video games and computer sales last year were sold in digital format form. So welcome, Razer Game Store. Here’s hoping our internet speeds can keep up.
