OPPO Reno series launching in PH June 19. Here's the base price

The new OPPO Reno series, which debuted in April earlier this year, will launch June 19th in the Philippines.

Expect both the standard OPPO Reno and the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition with 60x digital zoom to go official on the said date. As for the regular Reno, the phone has actually appeared in a sponsored post on Instagram, as spotted by our friends at NoypiGeeks.

The ad clearly shows that the OPPO Reno is priced at P26,990 (around $520). However, the company doesn’t say whether it’s the 6GB or 8GB RAM version that will make its way here. Our money is on the 6GB/256GB storage model; it sells for ¥3,299, or roughly P25,495 or $491, in China.

The higher-specced OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, a 6.6-inch AMOLED screen, triple cameras with a 10x zoom telephoto lens, and a pop-up front camera starts at ¥3,999 (P30,902 or $595) for 6GB RAM and 128GB of built-in storage.

If the Zoom Edition does end up on the local market, it could very well go for P32,990 ($636). Another possibility is that the company will offer the top-spec 8GB/256GB variant at around P40,000, similar to what it did with the OPPO Find X when it launched in the Philippines last year.
