(Update, November 20: We have new posts! Read Vivo S1 Pro with 48MP quad cam priced at P15,999 ($314) in PH and Watch: Our Vivo S1 Pro first impressions.)
If you recall, the S1 Pro shares the same namesake as the Vivo phone that debuted in China back in May, but they’re not the same exact device. Far from it. The S1 Pro to be launched in the Philippines has a similar design as the Vivo S5 and the yet-to-be-announced Vivo V17, with four cameras on the back in a diamond-shaped module.

The main sensor is 48 megapixels, while the auxiliary cameras have dedicated lenses for ultra-wide, macro, and portrait shots. The front of the Vivo S1 Pro, on the other hand, has a dewdrop notch for the selfie camera.
It has been confirmed to sport a Super AMOLED screen as well, and it incorporates the latest generation of the company’s fingerprint-sensing tech. Under the hood, the smartphone uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chip with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The battery is 4,500mAh and supports fast charging over USB-C.
As for the price, we expect the Vivo S1 Pro to retail at around P16,000 (around $315) in local stores. Read on below for the full specs of the handset. Don’t forget to check back here for our initial review, which should be up by tomorrow, November 19.
