It looks like before the year ends, Samsung still has a couple of smartphones to launch, but these are of the “Lite” variety. New information on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Galaxy S10 Lite have surfaced, suggesting the two handsets are going to be unveiled soon.

We need to remind you that these are leaks and may not be 100% accurate, so some specifications we’re sharing right now could not be what appears in the phones’ final form. Let’s dive in.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite veers away from the Galaxy Note 10 series’ look. It sports a rectangular camera module similar to the design of the recently launched Samsung Galaxy A51, Galaxy A71, and probably even the soon-to-be-launched Galaxy S11. The three sensors are arranged in an L shape, with the flash at the upper-right corner of the camera module. In front, there’s a similar punch-hole cutout for the 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The smartphone’s design seems to mimic the 3D Glasstic look of the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 mentioned above — at least when it comes to the metal frame and rounded back panel. We can’t say for sure if the screen is flat, but you can already see the Galaxy Note 10 Lite doesn’t have the dual-edge curved panel of the Galaxy Note 10 series.

The handset follows Samsung’s 2020 design formula closely, down to the button placement. All the physical buttons on the Galaxy Note 10 Lite have been moved to the right side of the frame. The phone is expected to be 8.7mm thick and weigh 198 grams.

The rear cameras are expected to include a 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and a dual-pixel auto-focus as well as a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom support and an f/2.4 aperture. The said model might support UHD video recording at 60 frames per second as well as take super slow-motion videos.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite will reportedly have a 6.7-inch Infinity-O Super AMOLED display with a 2,400 x 1,080 resolution, 391ppi pixel density, and an under-screen fingerprint scanner.

The phone seems to be a repackaged Galaxy Note 9, indicating it will be powered by the company’s Exynos 9810 chipset in some markets paired with Android 10 with One UI 2.0, 6GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of storage that can be expanded via microUSB. It also packs a 4,500mAh battery with 25-watt fast-charging technology and gets NFC connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi support, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

What it shares with the Galaxy Note 10 series is support for a Bluetooth 5.0-enabled S Pen and the choice of colors, including Aura Black, Aura Red, and Aura Glowpress.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite is expected to launch alongside the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite. Its rumored price is around €609 (around P34,287 or $675), and it will reportedly be available in Western Europe starting January 10. Reports claim there is a possibility the device will come to Asian markets with the name Samsung Galaxy A81 since the Galaxy A series is a popular line in this part of the world.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite

We reported at the start of November that Samsung is developing a Galaxy S10 Lite. New leaks give us a better look at its specs.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, with the model number SM-G770F, will reportedly have a 6.7-inch Infinity-O Super AMOLED display with a 2,400 x 1,080 resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It will supposedly run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor in all regions alongside Android 10 with One UI 2.0, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage.

The triple-camera setup on the back features a primary 48-megapixel f/2.0 sensor with “tilt OIS” [optical image stabilization] technology. The lens in front of the sensor tilts a few degrees on top of the usual displacement within the sensor itself to compensate for shaking.

About the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite

There will also be a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 5-megapixel macro lens on the Galaxy S10 Lite’s back. The latter was first introduced in the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 as well.

The front-facing camera will be a 32-megapixel sensor housed within a punch hole at the top center of the display. Plus, the smartphone is said to have a 4,500mAh battery with 45-watt fast-charging support.

Available in white, black, and blue, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite will reportedly cost around €679 (P38,193 or $752) in Southern Europe.
