So the Vivo Y20i teasers we spotted a week ago were indeed official. The smartphone is priced at P7,499 — or roughly $155 — in the Philippines.

(Update, November 26: There’s a new Y20i model called Vivo Y20i 2021, and it’s now available in the Philippines!)

(Update, October 6: Can the Snapdragon 460-powered Vivo Y20i game? Click on this to find out!)

And starting today, September 26, until October 2, you can already pre-purchase the Vivo Y20i online — on Lazada, or Shopee — or offline. Each preorder comes with a free headset worth P1,299 ($27).

Vivo Y20i preorder details

Vivo Philippines sent us a review unit yesterday, so we can confirm that the model launched in India is a bit different from the one we have here.

While the version released in the South Asian country has 3GB of RAM and three rear cameras, the local variant features 4GB of RAM and two cameras on the back — a 13-megapixel main sensor paired with a 2-megapixel depth-sensing unit. What was dropped? The 2-megapixel macro camera, which we think is better than getting a phone with lesser RAM.

Like the OPPO A53 2020 and Realme C17, the Vivo Y20i is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chip. It gets a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18 watts of fast charging, a fingerprint sensor on the side, a 6.5-inch screen, an 8-megapixel selfie camera, and Android 10.

We’re currently putting the smartphone through its paces, so those of you who are wondering how it (and the Snapdragon 460, many of you have asked us on Messenger), do stay tuned for our review.
