Nintendo earlier concluded its first Nintendo Direct livestream event since September 2019. In case you missed the new announcements — and there were plenty to look forward to and get excited about — you can read all about them here.

You can, of course, catch the Nintendo Direct February 2021 below. But if you prefer a summary of what’s to come to Nintendo’s beloved Switch platform, then feel free to scroll further down the page.

Spoiler alert: There was nothing new announced for the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. Instead, producer and project manager for The Legend of Zelda series Eiji Aonuma stated that more information on the sequel will be revealed later this year. No news about the rumored 4K-capable Nintendo Switch Pro either.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate x Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are joining the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster. The two count as a single character (you’ll be able to switch between either girl freely) and will be available for download from March.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

The original Skyward Sword was released on the Wii in 2011 and on July 16, 2021, will arrive on the Switch, alongside a new pair of Joy-Con inspired by the game. Both controllers sport a blue-and-white theme, with the right Joy-Con featuring a Master Sword design, while the left Joy-Con takes after the Hylian Shield.

The Legend of Zelda franchise is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.

Mario Golf: Super Rush

Yes, another Mario game. But this is different and more of a sports title, really, with familiar elements. Mario Golf: Super Rush has been announced on the Switch and will be released July 25, 2021. It includes a multiplayer Speed Golf mode, as well as a Story mode using your own Mii character.

Splatoon 3

We haven’t played a Splatoon game yet on our Switch, but we’re hoping to change that with Splatoon 3, which is coming to Nintendo’s current-gen console in 2022.

Project Triangle Strategy

Project Triangle Strategy is a working title for an upcoming tactics RPG game developed by Square Enix. It appears the game is set in the same universe as Octopath Traveler. They also share the same HD-2D graphics, which establish an interesting visual style that is both nostalgic and new.

A demo is available for download right now on Nintendo’s eShop.

Stars Wars Hunters

There’s a new Star Wars title coming out for the Nintendo Switch later in 2021. It’s a free-to-play, team-based online multiplayer that is set between the events of the Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. Developed by Zynga, Star Wars Hunters will be free to download on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout

It’s a long time coming, and it’s rather unfortunate that we had to wait months for the Switch version of one of 2020’s surprise breakout games. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is scheduled to arrive on Nintendo’s hybrid console in Summer 2021.

Miitopia

Miitopia was originally released on the Nintendo 3DS in 2017 as a fantasy-style RPG where the characters are based on Nintendo’s Mii avatar system, making each adventure a unique experience. The game will launch on the Switch May 21.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass

Age of Calamity, a musou game set in the Breath of the Wild universe, will be getting an Expansion Pass with two waves of content dropping in June and November 2021 — both of which will run you $20 (around P968 converted).

Animal Crossing x Super Mario

An update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will add Super Mario-themed costumes and items in the game. It will be released February 25, 2021.

Samurai Warriors 5

A spin-off of the Dynasty Warriors franchise, Samurai Warriors 5 is the latest installment of the musou series headed to the Nintendo Switch sometime in this summer.

Legend of Mana Remaster

Legend of Mana is coming to the Nintendo Switch in summer 2021. Besides better visuals, it will include rearrangement versions of the original soundtrack, and players can switch between the original and rearranged scores.

Tales from the Borderlands

Telltale Games’ Tales From the Borderlands lands on the Nintendo Switch March 24.

Outer Wilds

The Nintendo Switch port of the 2019 action-adventure game that lets you explore the solar system in a 22-minute time loop arrives this summer.

Capcom Arcade Stadium

The Capcom Arcade Stadium is a celebration of coin-op arcade classics, bundling 32 games together in one convenient release. You can get 1943: The Battle of Midway for free, then purchase game packs or individual games sold separately. It’s out now on the eShop.

Famicom Detective Club series

Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir and Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind will be introduced and localized for the U.S. in 2021.

Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection

The Master Collection bundles together Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge and includes all previous DLC game modes and outfits. It will be available on the Switch from June 10.

DC Super Hero Girls Teen Power

Featuring popular characters from the DC property, this cutesy action-RPG style title comes to the Switch June 4.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for the Neighborville Complete Edition

The Complete Edition includes all additional content skipped by the standard release and headed to the Switch March 19.

Knockout City

From EA Originals, there’s Knockout City, which, based on the trailer, is a team-based multiplayer dodgeball game. It’s coming this May 2021.

World’s End Club

This looks like an interesting side-scroller with a powerful narrative from the creative minds behind the Danganronpa and Zero Escape games. It will be available on the Nintendo Switch from May 28.

Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection

February 25, 2021, marks the return of the Ghosts ‘n Goblins series on the Switch with Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection.

Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse

Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse for the Nintendo Switch is getting a March 16 release, alongside the game’s PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions.

SaGa Frontier Remastered

The remastered RPG will make its way to the Switch in April 2021.

Neon White

This first-person card battler has been announced for Nintendo’s console, though no date for its release is set in stone yet.

No More Heroes 3

No More Heroes 3 is an upcoming hack-and-slash game headed to the Switch in August this year.

Hades (physical edition)

Hades is a surprise gem for many Switch owners, so it’s no surprise that it will be getting a physical release March 19 that includes a download code for the game’s impressive original score plus a 32-page character compendium.
