Tecno Mobile is busy rolling out smartphones after smartphones after smartphones these days. The latest to go official comes from its POVA series.

(Update, December 15: The Tecno POVA Neo is now available in the Philippines!)

The Tecno POVA Neo has debuted in Nigeria with a suggested retail price of ₦72,500 (around P8,944 or $177) for the 4GB/64GB model. And an official listing we at Revü have seen on Lazada Philippines indicates that the new handset — with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, though — will become available in Geek Blue and Powehi Black here soon. The price shown on the e-commerce platform is just a placeholder, so we’d have to wait for that to be updated. We’ll keep you posted, of course.

The Tecno POVA Neo is an entry-level phone, as can be gleaned from the MediaTek Helio P22 chip it’s using. And if you’re just after a starter phone that has a massive battery and a big screen, then this POVA might be for you. It boasts a 6,000mAh cell that supports 18 watts of fast charging, which Tecno claims lets you play a game up to 17 hours, for one. It also features a display that spans 6.8 inches.
