A tweaked Redmi K50 Gaming has gone global, launching outside China as the POCO F4 GT.

That means you get the flagship-level hardware of the Redmi device, mainly targeting gamers, especially with a design that incorporates RGB lighting and magnetic pop-up triggers that can be custom-tuned for games. You get other gaming-centric features like symmetrical quad speakers, an X-axis linear motor for haptics, and LiquidCool technology 3.0, which has two vapor chambers with one of the biggest surface areas for dispersing the heat.

Available color variants

At the heart of the POCO F4 GT is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM — a first for the brand — and a maximum of 256GB of storage. The 6.7-inch AMOLED screen is highly rated, boasting 120Hz adaptive-refresh and 480Hz touch-sampling rates, and should be durable, thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Of course, there’s support for Xiaomi‘s 120W HyperCharge quick-charging tech as well. That makes the POCO F4 GT’s 4,700mAh battery faster to charge, making it possible to top it up from 0% to 100% in just 17 minutes.

A 64-megapixel triple camera on the back, a 20-megapixel selfie shooter, and Android 12-based MIUI 13 round out the phone’s specs.

How much is the POCO F4 GT?

Besides the 12GB/256GB model, there’s also an 8GB/128GB version. In Europe, the two memory configurations of the newly launched POCO phone are priced at €599 (roughly P33,366 or $639) and €699 (P38,936 or $746), respectively. Availability begins April 28 till May 7, depending on the region.

We have good news for interested buyers in the Philippines: You can now buy any of the two variants of the F4 GT from Lazada and Shopee for only P24,390 ($467) and P27,990 ($536), respectively. The early-bird offers are valid until May 12 only. Starting May 13, the base model of the handset will retail at P27,590 ($529), while the higher-specced one will cost P30,990 ($594). Still, the prices are definitely competitive.
