The successor to the OPPO A97 5G should go official at any time soon.

The OPPO A98 5G, which first popped up in the rumor mill in end-2022, has bagged several certifications outside China, indicating its global launch is imminent. In fact, we at Revü have spotted it in the Philippines as well.
So, what do we know about the OPPO A98 5G thus far? Well, almost everything save for its price.
A leaked poster shows that the upcoming A series model is all about “LIFE”:

- F: Fantastic design and quality
- E: Endless fun and joy
Infinitely better than its predecessor on paper, the OPPO A98 5G reportedly comes with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67-watt SUPERVOOC technology, a 6.72-inch FHD+ screen with a 120HZ refresh rate, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset paired with up to 16GB of dynamic RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
There’s a triple-camera system on the back that’s headlined by a 64-megapixel main sensor and also consists of a microlens that offers up to 40x magnification, just like the OPPO Reno8 T 5G. Selfies, on the other hand, are taken care of by a 32-megapixel camera that’s housed in a punch hole at the top center of the smartphone’s display.
Available in either Dreamy Blue or Cool Black color variant, this OPPO handset will ship with ColorOS based on Android 13.
