It looks like we’ll finally get a new smartphone from vivo Philippines soon. And you might just be surprised about this.

(Update, June 3: The vivo V29 Lite 5G has been launched as the first vivo V29 series phone!)

A listing of the vivo V29 Pro is now up on the local website of the brand just two months after the launch of the vivo V27 5G and vivo V27e in the country. This could mean the rumors claiming that the vivo V29 series global launch is scheduled early — in June instead of the expected August timeline — are true. Recall that the vivo V25 Pro and vivo V25 were unveiled August 18 and the vivo V25e, August 31.

While the site stops short of revealing the date, it does show the key specs of the vivo V29 Pro 5G model. Apparently, the yet-to-go-official phone comes with a 64-megapixel triple camera on the back and a 50-megapixel shooter up front. It features a 6.7-inch OLED curved screen with a 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate; a 5,000mAh battery that supports up to 66 watts of fast charging; and a memory configuration that pairs 12GB of RAM and 156GB of storage.

Previous reports say the vivo V29 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8000 5G series processor. Its rear is supposedly color-changing, just like the other past V lineup members’ back panels. Expect an under-display fingerprint sensor and an Android 13-based user interface as well.

Word has it that the vivo V29 Pro is a rebranded vivo S17 Pro, which is set to launch in China May 31. It could be accompanied by the vivo V29 and the vivo V29 Lite 5G phones during its international unveiling.

There’s no Lite version on the Philippines website… yet?
