It’s confirmed: The 5G version of the vivo Y36 is launching in the Philippines on August 8. Well, August 7 technically, because the sale starts at 11:55 p.m. on that day.

The vivo Y36 5G will be initially exclusive to Shopee users, selling on the platform for P3,000 (roughly $54) off the device’s P14,999 ($270) regular price for a limited time. That means you’ll only have to shell out P11,999 ($216).

Better yet, you can get the smartphone in installment up to six months at 0% interest via Shopee’s SpayLater. All 8.8 purchases come with freebies worth a total of P4,000 ($72) as well.

Announcement of the vivo Y36 5G’s Philippine availability

If its 4G counterpart is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680, the vivo Y36 5G uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6060 chipset paired with 8GB RAM with Turbo Memory Booster and 256GB storage that can still be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.

The FHD+ screen is big enough at 6.64 inches and supports 90Hz refresh and 240Hz touch-sampling rates. There’s a large 5,000mAh battery, so you can play games on the phone without reaching for your charger often. And if you do need to top up the battery, you can rely on vivo‘s 44-watt Fast Charge feature.

For images, there’s a 50-megapixel main sensor on the back that’s assisted by a 2-megapixel portrait lens. Selfies are taken with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera placed in a punch-hole cutout at the top center of the display.
