Samsung might launch its long-rumored third-generation “fan edition” smartphone soon, and based on the company’s local website, the device appears headed to the Philippines at some point.

(Update, October 4: The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is now official!)

In fact, the so-called Samsung Galaxy S23 FE has already been listed on Samsung’s support page for the Philippine market, suggesting its imminent release. In fact, one leakster claims the unit will launch in October. Recall that the phone, which is widely believed to have the model number SM-S711B/DS, was previously listed in Kazakhstan.

The same model number appears numerous times on the Korean firm’s local support site, and this likely confirms the handset’s multiple color variants. Per reports, the Galaxy S23 FE color options will include graphite, mint, purple, and white, though the availability of those colors will vary depending on your region.

As for the specs, the value-focused variant of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will come in two flavors — one with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and another powered by the company’s in-house Exynos 2200 chip — according to the Google Play Console. Both models will ship with at least 8GB of RAM, Android 13-based One UI out of the box, and a 1080p display.

The Galaxy S23 FE will reportedly pack a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen, too, along with a 10-megapixel selfie shooter and a triple-camera setup headlined by a 50-megapixel image sensor. A 4,500mAh battery should power the device, and it will support fast charging up to 25 watts.

In terms of design, expect the Galaxy S23 FE to adopt the same minimalist aesthetic as other models in the series. That means Samsung will probably implement the “floating lens” design here as well. And like its predecessors, it is expected to carry an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.
