Fans can watch the livestream on realme‘s official Facebook page at 4 p.m. The company will also host the first live-selling event for the realme 11 4G at 8.pm. on the same day as the local launch.

We’ll post our review of the smartphone at around that time, but here’s our short unboxing video along with our first impressions to give you a peek at what realme Philippines has in store for the next week. Spoiler alert: We think the realme 11 could be special.

We unbox the realme 11 for you

Talking about the retail package, the realme 11 ships in the brand’s traditional yellow cardboard box with black accents, except this time, the box itself features subtle ridges that add some much-needed depth and dimension to it. The contents of the box are essentially the same as realme’s recent releases. Inside, you’ll find the following:

  • Silicone case
  • SIM-eject tool
  • Quick Guide
  • Warranty card
  • 67-watt SUPERVOOC fast charger
  • USB-C cable

The supplied power brick is probably the most notable inclusion here, with realme opting to include a 67-watt SUPERVOOC charger in the box to allow users to take advantage of the realme 11 4G’s fast-charging capabilities. It quotes a 50% charge (from zero) after just 17 minutes plugged in, while a full charge should take around 45 minutes. Quite impressive given the 5,000mAh battery pack.

Additionally, realme says the phone’s charging interface has been calibrated with its own algorithms for better efficiency. There are also 38 levels of protection built into the parts used for the battery and charger, ensuring safe charging at the highest possible speed.

The realme 11 4G is available in two colors — Glory Black and Glory Gold. Our gold unit sports a glossy paint job that feels smooth to the touch and has a glittery finish, allowing the device to shimmer attractively as light hits it from different angles.

Save the time and date! Take note that the first live-selling event for the realme 11 is scheduled for 8.pm. on November 9 as well

Handling is easy, thanks to the realme 11 4G’s 6.4-inch display and rather sleek profile of 7.95mm despite its generous battery capacity. We can still use the smartphone one-handed, even after slapping the included silicone case on it.

The back debuts realme’s Glory Halo Design, which incorporates the “luxury fluted halo” and “pit design” inspired by the dials of luxury mechanical watches and adds a premium touch to the camera ring. The circular camera island does look nice, especially on the Glory Gold colorway. It is home to a 108-megapixel main image sensor and comes with phase-detection autofocus, though you can probably tell just by looking at the center of the camera module.

Other notable hardware features include a side-mounted fingerprint reader below the volume rocker, a single down-firing speaker, and a standard headphone jack, which has become increasingly rare in the current smartphone landscape.

Inside, the realme 11 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 4G chipset that has managed to score 358,987 points in Antutu Benchmark 10. That’s pretty commendable for a device that will likely fetch a very reasonable price tag on the local market. We’ll know for sure next week, so check back with us on November 9.
