The OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Buds 3, two devices that had launched first in China, went official on the global market. But there was one product that OnePlus debuted alongside them that hadn’t been announced yet.

(Update, April 18: The OnePlus 12R has gone on sale in the Philippines!)

Meet the OnePlus 12R, whose unveiling marks the first time the brand introduced an R series model outside India.

Think of it as the more-affordable-yet-still-powerful version of the OnePlus 12 flagship. If you’re in the United States, you can pick up the OnePlus 12R in 8GB/128GB and 16GB/256GB configurations for $499.99 (roughly P28,134) and $599.99 (P33,761), respectively. The same variants in India have respective ₹39,999 (P27,075) and ₹45,999 (P31,122) prices. Unfortunately, availability for the Philippine market is not known yet.

This is the OnePlus 12 series

Fronting the OnePlus 12R is a fourth-generation LTPO 120 Hz ProXDR screen that measures 6.78 inches and comes with a 1.5K resolution — and one that’s DisplayMate A+-certified. You get a large, 5,500mAh battery that can be fully charged from 0% in just around 31 minutes when using the SUPERVOOC 80-watt charger in Smart Rapid Charge mode.

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 5G processor and features a huge vapor chamber at 9140 mm2 in total, a triple-rear-camera setup headlined by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor, a 16-megapixel selfie shooter, IP64 dust and water resistance, and Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 out of the box.

The OPPO sub-brand has promised three years of Android updates and four years of patches for its latest handset.
