Just like that, we have three new smartphones from POCO.

The brand that was born out of Xiaomi has kicked off 2024 by officially introducing the POCO X6 Pro 5G, POCO X6 5G, and POCO M6 Pro to global markets, including the Philippines. All are designed to help the Gen Z “maximize their gaming, streaming, and social media experiences.”

Of the three models, one runs Xiaomi HyperOS out of the box. And the two new X series devices have 5G connectivity — the same phones that debut the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra and 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipsets, respectively, on the international stage. The M series unit, on the other hand, is the first to get the 6nm MediaTek Helio G99-Ultra globally.

POCO X6 Pro 5G

With the Dimensity 8300-Ultra flagship-level processor, the HyperOS-based POCO X6 Pro 5G has set a new speed record for a POCO device with a whopping 1,464,228 Antutu benchmark score. Recall that the mobile platform boasts support for on-device generative AI, alongside low-power savings, adaptive gaming technology, and fast connectivity.

It’s no wonder then that the newly launched smartphone is marketed at the next generation of hardcore gamers that demands faster loading, smoother operation, and instant reactions to match their fast-paced gameplay. Or what POCO calls SPEED-CIES.

To match that kind of speed, POCO has equipped the X6 Pro 5G with a maximum of 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. There’s the upgraded WildBoost Optimization 2.0 feature here as well to help deliver fast and fluid gaming experiences.

The CrystalRes Flow screen — a first for a POCO unit — is impressive on paper, too. It measures 6.67 inches, is of the AMOLED type, and flaunts a high screen-to-body ratio of 94%. It also has a 1.5K resolution, supports a refresh rate of 120Hz, and offers 1,800 nits peak brightness.

For imaging, expect a 64-megapixel triple-camera system on the back and features like optical image stabilization for sharp photos during motion, as well as motion capture and motion tracking for automatically recognizing and tracking the person, animal, or object that is the focus of your video.

In the Philippines, the POCO X6 Pro 5G is now exclusively available on Lazada. Refer to the details below for pricing and availability.

It seems that the brand has indeed made sure to make the upgrades worth young users’ money in order for them to immediately “dive into the action with on-the-go entertainment and social media browsing.”
