(Update, April 23: Here’s why the Infinix NOTE 40 Pro Plus 5G with 100W fast charge is making us rethink the flagship market!)

The Transsion Holdings sub-brand has revealed that the Infinix NOTE 40 series will be launched April 24 in the country. And while it hasn’t mentioned the exact models that will be released here, its official store on Shopee shows listings for the Infinix NOTE 40 Pro Plus 5G and the 4G version of the Infinix NOTE 40 Pro. Recall that the lineup also includes the Infinix NOTE 40 Pro 5G and Infinix NOTE 40.

This line promises to offer fast charging and speedy performance at an irresistible price. In fact, all of the four phones feature Infinix’s new All-Round FastCharge 2.0 technology powered by its proprietary Cheetah X1 chip, which acts as a central power-management hub to intelligently manage power distribution within your handset.

The most premium of them all, the NOTE 40 Pro Plus 5G, has support for 100-watt of quick charging. Imagine getting the 4,600mAh battery from 0% to 50% in just 8 minutes when in Hyper mode or 12 minutes when in Smart mode. The rest are equipped with a bigger, 5,000mAh cell, but charging support goes down to 45 watts for the NOTE 40 Pro 5G and NOTE 40 and 70 watts for the NOTE 40 Pro.

The two 5G models in the series are powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor, while the 4G units rely on a MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chipset.

The four smartphones look quite alike, making it hard to tell them apart from each other. But the base Infinix NOTE 40 gets a flat AMOLED display, while the Pro versions have a curved AMOLED screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. They sport a rear camera system headlined by a 108-megapixel sensor, a 32-megapixel selfie shooter, dual speakers tuned by JBL, an Active Halo feature, and a user interface based on Android 14. You can find the full specs of each model at the end of the article.

In Malaysia, the new NOTE devices are priced from RM999 — or around P11,847 in Philippine pesos and $209 in U.S. dollars.
