The cat’s out of the bag: POCO’s next hero devices are coming soon.

(Update, May 23: The POCO F6 Pro and POCO F6 are official, and they’re pretty tempting to get! And our review of the POCO F6 Pro is already up, too!)

The young, independent brand born out of Xiaomi Corporation has announced that the POCO F6 series’ global launch is set for May 23.

The lineup, which promises to offer flagship-grade performance at a competitive price, includes two 5G models — the POCO F6 Pro and POCO F6.

The POCO F6 Pro was recently spotted on Geekbench and several certification authorities, showing that the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, comes with a 4,880mAh battery, and has the model number 23113RKC6G.

The announcement. We at Revü Philippines will be in Dubai to cover the global launch of the brand’s POCO F6 Pro and POCO F6 units

Word has it that the Pro variant is a tweaked version of the Redmi K70. Recall that the latter was launched in China with 120-watt fast-charging support, a 5000 mm2 heat-dissipation system, Xiaomi HyperOS on top of Android 14, and a 6.67-inch 2K AMOLED screen with 4,000 nits of peak brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 2,160Hz instantaneous touch-sampling rate. Imaging is handled by a 50-megapixel triple camera on the back and a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.

A new POCO F6 teaser in India, on the other hand, shows a phone that looks like the Redmi Turbo 3. If the non-Pro POCO F6 is a rebranded version of the said Redmi model, then expect a handset that features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, support for 90-watt USB-C charging, Android 14-based HyperOS, and a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. There’s a 50-megapixel dual-rear camera setup as well as a 20-megapixel front sensor.

The teaser POCO India shared. You’ll see the design of the smartphone at the 00:13 mark

At least one of the two devices will be released in the Philippines considering POCO’s local Facebook account has started posting launch teasers, too.
