The COVID-19 pandemic has affected various aspects of life in the Philippines, including travel for those of us in the technology industry. Overseas trips to cover on-the-ground MWC and the Huawei P40 series launch events? Didn’t push through. And many more.

Now, if you have an upcoming flight booked with Philippine Airlines, you can rebook or cancel it online and get a payment refund or travel voucher for future use, thanks to the new myPAL Request Hub. It’s where you can submit cancellation and rebooking requests at the comfort and safety of your home.

All you need to do is accomplish these three simple steps:

  1. Fill out a request form here.
  2. Go through the form carefully. Once you’re satisfied that everything looks correct, hit the submit button.
  3. Wait for PAL to send you a confirmation email after five to seven business days.

That’s it! Easy as pie.

Additionally, PAL notes that for tickets issued by partners and travel agents, any requests for booking changes must be made through the partner or travel agent. This includes flight-booking portals like Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, and more. The myPAL Request Hub will only facilitate requests for changes to confirmed bookings made via PAL’s website, mobile app, ticket office, and hotline.

For Cebu Pacific customers, cancellations and rebookings can be made through this page. Customers with bookings between April 15 and June 30 can make changes to their flight schedules online.

From there, you need to input your booking reference number and the surname of the person under the booking to reschedule or cancel the flight.

Cebu Pacific says that rebookings will have no limits on travel validity and the change fee is waived, but customers must pay any fare difference. Refunds for payments made through credit or debit cards will be reflected after three to four billing cycles.

The airline plans to restart operations from April 15 onwards. PAL, on the other hand, shares it hopes to resume flights mid-April as well.
