Benchmark app Antutu has finally posted the global list of Android smartphones that performed the best on its platform for the month of March.

So which mid-level and premium devices ruled the latest international rankings? Which chipsets do they use? Read on to find out.

Top 10 flagship Android smartphones

Topping the flagship segment is a handset we reviewed recently, the Xiaomi 12 Pro, with an average score of almost a million points. We concluded that the phone “throws everything at the wall and hopes all features stick. It’s as complete as an Android smartphone gets, from the lustrous AMOLED display and high-end chipset, to the versatile cameras and lightning-fast charging. The flaws of this smartphone occur purely out of excess.”

Most of the other units that got into the list are powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, from the Motorola Edge 30 Pro to the OPPO Find X5 Pro, proving once again Qualcomm’s dominance in the high-end category. Only one other SoC figured in the ranking, the Exynos 2200, represented by the Samsung Galaxy S22 series.

With a 558,841 average Antutu benchmark score, the iQOO Z5 retained its crown in March 2022. Unfortunately, this model is not available in the Philippines. At the heart of the unit is a Snapdragon 778G chipset. Other 778G devices that made it into the top were the Realme GT Master Edition, Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G, and Samsung Galaxy M52 5G.

Unlike in some recent months when we saw more varied entries SoC-wise, it was different for last month, with midrange units using HiSilicon chips not appearing in the charts for the first time in a while.
