Xiaomi and Grimalkin Corporation, the official distributor of Xiaomi products in the Philippines, will soon open their third retail location in the country. The next Mi Authorized Store can be found at — drum roll, please — SM North EDSA.

Opening as early as July 2018, we at Revü are told

Interestingly, the Philippines’ first Mi store, located at the TriNoma Mall in Quezon City, is walking distance from the soon-to-be-opened one. Xiaomi’s second — and biggest — local shop, on the other hand, occupies prime space at the fourth level of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.

While no date has been set for the opening yet, we’re hearing that location number three could open as soon as July 2018. In terms of floor space, we’ve been told it’s roughly the same size as the one at TriNoma. No surprises there. After all, Xiaomi has so much more to offer than mobile devices and laptops and connected accessories. There are bags, shoes, lamps, television sets, stand fans, even bikes and scooters in its catalog, too.

The Mi Authorized Store at SM North EDSA will be one of the five brick-and-mortar shops originally planned for the country in 2018. According to John Chen, Xiaomi’s director for Southeast Asia, the next two stores will be located outside of the Philippine capital, possibly in Cebu in the Visayas region and in Davao in Mindanao. Online, you can still purchase official Xiaomi products from Lazada and Shopee.
