Two days after OPPO Malaysia and India started teasing the OPPO F9 and F9 Pro, OPPO Philippines has launched its own marketing campaign for the OPPO F7’s successor.

On its Facebook page, the company has already posted two OPPO F9-related teasers. One shows that the upcoming smartphone will have what OPPO calls a “waterdrop screen” — meaning the notch resembles a droplet of water, a la the Essential Phone’s. The other confirms that the F9 will be equipped with VOOC Flash Charge technology. It’s a feature that gives you two hours of talk time for a 5-minute charge.

Apparently, an OPPO F9 poster starring celebrities Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto — collectively known as JoshLia — is already up at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City as well. Our friend from GizGuide, together with TechPinas’ Mark Macanas, spotted it.

The poster reveals that the Twilight Blue and Sunrise Red color variants will definitely be made available in the Philippines. We wonder if the Starry Purple, which is going to be sold in Malaysia, will be rolled out to local stores, too. It’s a bit different from the other two, as it doesn’t have any diamond-like pattern.

How soon is “soon” in, um, “coming soon”? Based on experience, the Philippine launch will probably be in at least two weeks’ time. We’ll know soon enough, for sure.
