You’ve seen the square camera setup on the back of the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. Imagine that on another smartphone, but instead of three sensors and an LED flash, you get an extra sensor, with the flash made smaller and placed in the middle of the module.

That’s what we can expect from Lenovo in the coming weeks; Chang Cheng, the company’s vice president, already posted on Chinese social-media platform Weibo a teaser of the device.

The poster says the phone will be launched in October with four artificial-intelligence or AI cameras. There was no mention of the model, but most speculated that it will be the Lenovo Z5 Pro, the yet-to-be-unveiled slider phone that was shown off in September. The Z5 Pro will probably go head to head with the likes of the Honor Magic 2 and the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3.

However, there is a chance that we could be looking at a different device. The teased smartphone could be the Lenovo S5 Pro, and the clue may be in the handset used to publish the post. See the text we encircled.

Plus, Chang Cheng’s most recent post on Weibo at the time of writing this article involves the S5 Pro yet again. And the camera setup is confirmed to be powered by AI. Our money is on the Lenovo S5 Pro then. We’ll see.

The smartphone should be a higher-end version of the Lenovo S5, which was released in March, and currently has a promo price of as low as ¥699 (around P5,524 in Philippine pesos or $102 in U.S. dollars).

The S5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor mated to up to 4GB of RAM and as much as 128GB of storage. Its 5.7-inch screen has a 2,160 x 1,080 resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. There’s a dual 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 16-megapixel shooter on the front. It’s running Android 8.0 Oreo and comes with a 3,000mAh battery.
