There’s a new, potentially game-changing entry-level smartphone in town, and it is priced at only P6,990 (around $134). Meet the Huawei Y6 Pro 2019.

It doesn’t even look like it belongs to the budget category. The device seems more premium than it is because of its symmetrical 2.5D curve design, build, and almost-full, 6.09-inch screen, thanks to Huawei making the notch at the top of the display small. Come to think of it, the Y6 Pro 2019 is one of the most affordable — if not the cheapest — unit with a dewdrop screen in the Philippines.

And it’s already shipping with Android 9.0 Pie, layered with EMUI 9.0 on top. How many phones come with the latest Android version out of the box? Not a lot, for sure.

The Huawei Y6 Pro 2019 features a quad-core MediaTek 6761 coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. On the back is a 13-megapixel camera, while housed in the notch is an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Powering the smartphone is a 3,020mAh battery.

It also boasts Histen 5.0 Huawei SuperSound, which should allow you to experience decent sound quality even at high volume levels. There’s a built-in FM antenna that does not require wired headphones, too.

Huawei Y6 Pro 2019 preorder details

So when can you buy the Y6 Pro 2019? The entry-level model will go on preorder from February 18 to 22 and will be on sale starting February 23. Here are the freebies you’ll get if you take advantage of the preorder period:
