The Authorized Mi Store in Market! Market!, on which we reported last year and earlier this month, is set to open its doors to the public March 16th, according to the invitation we received.

The Taguig location expands Xiaomi’s offline presence in the Philippines, where the total number of official brick-and-mortar stores dedicated to selling Xiaomi products (that we know of) currently sits at 8. The Authorized Mi Store in Market! Market! is located at the fourth level of the mall.

Another physical Xiaomi store, you may recall, is expected to open in the country. This time, it will be located at the third floor of Lucky Chinatown Mall in Manila, though no specifics have been provided as to when exactly it would happen. It could open in March or April, or at a later date.

The opening of a new Xiaomi store locally might also signal the official release of the long-awaited Redmi Note 7 in the Philippines. So far, it’s only been made available in China. India, arguably Xiaomi’s second-most-important market behind its native country, will get the budget phone next, with a launch set for February 28th.

Of course, there’s also the possibility that the Market! Market! opening could coincide with the launch of the Mi 9 in the country. Xiaomi Philippines has begun teasing the 2019 flagship phone on social media.

To recap, here’s a list of malls where Xiaomi Authorized Mi Stores are presently located:

  • TriNoma Mall in Quezon City
  • SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City (flagship)
  • SM North EDSA in Quezon City
  • Gateway Mall in Quezon City
  • Starmall Alabang in Muntinlipa City
  • SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City
