We have stumbled upon one important information for Realme fans: that Realme’s 64-megapixel quad-camera smartphone is launching in the Philippines before October ends.

And while the former OPPO sub-brand hasn’t confirmed the model just yet, we all know it’s the Realme XT.

The screenshot below is of the comments section of a Facebook post by Realme Philippines’ chief executive officer. One dealer asked when the unveiling will be, and the CEO said it’s going to be on the 28th. The company’s top marketing official then clarified that the launch is scheduled for October 29.

Come to think of it, the announcement will be made just weeks after the successful release of the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro here. Combined offline retail sales of the devices are said to be three times higher than those of preceding Realme models.
The Realme XT is the company’s first phone to have a 64-megapixel sensor — Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright GW1. It takes 16-megapixel photos by default, but you can enable the Ultra 64MP mode to capture 9,216 × 6,912 pictures.

The primary camera is paired with three others: an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 2-megapixel dedicated macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
In front is a 16-megapixel selfie camera that’s placed in the waterdrop notch at the top of the Realme XT’s 6.4-inch AMOLED display with an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

In India, the handset is priced at ₹15,999 (around P11,523 or $225), ₹16,999 (P12,243 or $239), and ₹18,999 (P13,684 or $267), respectively, for the 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB, and 8GB/128GB variants. It’s most likely going to be a bit more expensive in the Philippines because of local taxes.
