Just a few days ago, Xiaomi announced that the POCO (Pocophone in other countries like the Philippines) brand will now be an independent one.

(Update, January 27: There’s an official update! Read Official: POCO X2 launch scheduled for Feb 4.)

The development likely means that we will finally see a new POCO phone in 2020 after a year of silence from them. A video showing an alleged POCO F2 Lite seems to confirm that.

Sandeep Sarma of YouTube channel RevAtlas says that he received three pictures of the said unit. One shows the model name, and the other two give us a clear shot of the screen with a waterdrop notch and a big chin.

The POCO F2 Lite supposedly has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chip, 6GB of RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery. The camera is said to be a high-resolution one. Forty-eight or 64 megapixels perhaps? You can watch the video below.

Video that will likely make Xiaomi Pocophone fans excited

The person who emailed Sarma the details claims that there will be three Pocophone models that will be launched this year.

The source claims there will be three Pocophone models that will be launched in 2020

Our guess is there will be a POCO F2 and a POCO X2. A listing of the latter was spotted in Geekbench getting single- and multi-core scores of 547 and 1,767, respectively. It’s supposed to come with 8GB of RAM, Android 10, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

While there’s no way to confirm for now if the claims are true or not, we can’t help but feel excited. After all, POCO is the same brand that brought us the Pocophone F1, which offered flagship specs for a really, really low price.
