The tweet that revealed the launch date of the POCO X2 in India. Will it be released as the Pocophone X2 in countries like the Philippines?
The model was first seen in Geekbench scoring 547 and and 1,767 in single- and multi-core tests, respectively. It is said to come with 8GB of RAM, Android 10-based MIUI 11, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. However, people were doubtful at the time because listings can be easily faked.
Now, that “Snapdragon chip” bit has been confirmed on the company’s website. The teaser there also indicates that the POCO X2 features a screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, hence the phrases “extreme refresh rate” and “extreme gaming” to describe what the smartphone will offer. Take note that a faster display is good for competitive gaming.
The teaser likewise suggests that the device is equipped with a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor, liquid cooling, and fast charging. It could indeed be a rebranded Redmi K30 4G variant.
We are just eight days away from the unveiling of the POCO X2. To say that we’re excited is an understatement, especially since no Pocophone was announced last year. In fact, no POCO was released after the Pocophone F1.
